‘Heaven In Disguise’ is the new single from TMR favourite Tara Nome Doyle. The Berlin-based Irish-Norwegian artist has created yet another tender, beautiful piece of music. Her voice is the centrepiece of the track, defined by its airy melancholy, while a cinematic accompaniment made up of thick piano chords and luscious strings carries us toward a melodic climax. She explains: “as a writer I enjoy the double entendre that “heaven in disguise” can also be heard as “heaven in the skies” (especially with an Irish pronunciation), further highlighting the development of going from an idealised, externalised faith (heaven in the skies) to recognising that true salvation lies internally (heaven in disguise).” Ekko is the new album from Tara Nome Doyle, dropping on April 11th, 2025, via FatCat Records. -Dan Peeke
